Last Tuesday, October 30th, gabi ng lagim at brownout, Syntactics held its 1st Halloween Party at Conchita Hotel. Impromptu bai! Supposedly it'll be just a karaoke jam at konting chibugan. Then brilliant ideas spread like YM worms and decided to have a halloween party. Costume is a must! Kahit plastic bag lang ilalagay sa ulo at mga binulsang fastfood kechups ilalagay sa bibig, makakaligtas ka na sa penalty na 100PHP. Buti naman at halos may kasamaan rin at kaitiman ng budhi ang lahat, successful yung party! Busog lahat at may mga pahabol na mga senti moments. Ahooooooo....

A surprised invitation to a conference was received while browsing the internet. At a first glance, I thought that the suspicious conference room is another malware or virus that harms our computer since these Yahoo IDs quite looked like those emails offering viagras and other spams. Suddenly, I heard a voice like an angel. OMG! Now, virus could actually talk! LOL. It came from the conference host Miss gennifer_** and the topic? -- Crucibles of Satan. The conference was actually a room for an online bible study/worship and God's words were delivered through voice and copy-paste ~WEGEG! It was really surprising how technology seems to be helpful nowadays. I admit, I really don't go much into those kind of activities but thinking these people really pushed through and somehow really impressed me of how much dedication they have just for this online worship. No religions, purely just a sharing of thoughts about the words of God. It was a really nice experience to join such conference with people behind those Yahoo IDs. Very relieving and so different. Really such an outstanding experience for a people who seldom participates religious activities like me.

Just want to extend my thanks to some of the people I personally knw: my kababata and kapitbahay (nasan man kayo ngayon, kapitbahay ko pa rin kayo) --Jun, Maui & Alex Aguirre; and bro Ryan (tol, sa lahat ng trip mong pinasukan, buti naman at napunta ka dyan!); to the people behind those Yahoo IDs; and to the outstanding speaker of the night, Miss Gennifer.

During my first year in college, actually my 2nd school year nung nag-transfer from MPSC to LDCU, I can still remember the time I typed my codes on the notepad and started my first HTML web page entitled "My First Web Page". Napakadali lang pala. Before, I always asked myself "pano ba talaga gumawa ng website"? And that time, after running my HTML file, I realized, "notepad lang pala?". Tapos nagtuloy-tuloy na yun mula sa Frontpage, Dreamweaver, and lately, ginagamit ko na yung Notepad++. Hahaha! Sa haba man ng prusisyon, sa notepad pa rin ang tuloy. I guess I prefer to type the codes, besides, I am trying to get used of a CSS-driven website. Not to mention, sobrang gaan lang ng ginagamit kong editor and dati pa dun sa Geocities site ko, codes na kinakain ko lalo na sa pagma-manual update dun sa kunwari blog ko. Then, I got hired at Syntactics, Inc. and started to develop a couple of pages from CMS to web applications. Tapos kaninang hapon, Robert found something I didn't expect..

Sino ba mag-aakala na mapapabilang ako sa screen shot nila tapos kasabay ko pa yung ibang web developers? Nakakatawa pa, karamihan may mahabang karanasan na as a web developer. Eh ako, isang taon pa lang sa larangan na to. 10-points pa yung profile ko.

Bigla nagflash-back yung experience na "wow, napublish ako dito.. or nagawa ko ito, or pangalan ko nasa internet." Mga ganung pakiramdam and I felt it before when I developed my first company projects like the official government site of Cagayan de oro City and White Water Tours River Rafting. Tapos tuluy-tuloy na yung mga ibang sites hanggang nasanay na. Mula sa paggawa ng mga profiles sa mga social community sites, pag-customize ng mga public profiles sa Gaia Online, paggawa ng mga avatars, signatures sa Mobius forums, pagmo-moderate at paggawa ng mga event winner's badges sa Pinoyblogosphere hanggang umabot na kahit saan. Nawala na yung kumbaga pagiging "ignorante". Syempre, nung baguhan pa talaga sa web, name ko nga lang kahit isang entry na nakita sa internet eh pinagmamayabang na hahaha! Tapos ngayon, kahit name ko or yung keyword lang "cagayan de oro web developer" i-si-search sa Google, natural lalabas na talaga yan! Really funny tapos napakababaw pero, yeah!, dumaan ako niyan at 'di ko ikinahihiya, mamatay na lahat ng makakapal ang mukha at matira ako!

Kahit sobrang busy, it feels so relaxing mag-isip sa mga past memories at ang sarap balik-balikan ang mga araw na naging bahagi na ng MASAYANG BUHAY!

Nagkalat na sa buong internet ang mga usap-usapan tungkol sa palabas na ito at lalong nagbibigay inspirasyon sa akin para maging isang kriminal? Datapwa't subalit halos inaakala na natin na ang bilangguan na siyang parusa at isang tuldok na nagtatapos sa ating mga makasalanang gawain, napag-isip isip ko na ito ay isang pintong nagbubukas ng pinto para sa pagsisimula ng paghubog sa ating sarili. Habang pinapanood ko ang video nito, iilang mga katanungan ang nabubuo sa isipan ko:

1. Kailan nakunan ang palabas na ito?
2. Sino ang may pakana nito? Byron F. Garcia
3. Sino ang gumawa at nagturo ng mga astig na moves na ito?
4. Nakalaya na ba iyong ala-michaeljackson na nasa pinakaunahan?

Isa lang ang masasabi ko, ang galing ng nakaisip nito. Pinapakita lamang na ang disiplina ang siyang magpapa-angat sa atin paitaas at walang pinipiling lugar! Kung ang bilanggong ito, kung saan makikita ang iba't ibang klase ng kriminal (pati mga napagbibintangan at inosente) ay natuturuan ng disiplina sa pamamagitan ng malikhaing sayaw, paano pa kaya tayo na nasa labas lamang? Praktikalan lamang, marami naman siguro tayong magagawa maliban sa pagsasayaw ng thriller para maipakita lamang ang ating disiplina.
